Our principle, Karina Sacca, is a seasoned Barrister, Solicitor and Family Law Mediator with over 11 years experience. Karina has a diverse background and is a member of both the BC and Ontario Bar Associations – as well as, an accredited mediator with the Law Society of British Columbia.
Karina’s practice is primarily focused on family law; including mediation, collaborative family law and litigation. She assists married, common law and same sex couples in all areas of family law including drafting marriage contracts, adoptions, separation agreements, custody and access, as well as maintenance and property division disputes.
Karina cares about children; she was a panel lawyer representing children in Ontario for six years with the Office of the Public Guardian & Trustee of Ontario & the Office of the Children's Lawyer, Ontario.
Prior to opting for a gentler life here in Victoria, Karina was a partner in the Law firm of Sheridan, Ippolito & Sacca in Toronto (1999-2007)
Karina was a board member with the Centre for Spanish Speaking Persons in Toronto and speaks fluent Spanish. She has been an instructor for the family law bar admission course and has been a reference writer for the Law Society of Upper Canada’s family course material for several years.
